Whenver you are visitng another country for any reason vacations, buisness trip etc one of the most important things is to learn a little bit of the local language. You should learn simple words like hello, thanks, how much does this costs and other similar words in the local language.

Recently on of my friend was visited France and before visitirng he had learnt French very fluently from the website http://www.traducteur-anglaisfrancais.fr/ this website allows for English to French translation ( Traducteur Anglais Francais) and vice versa. Moreover he had his iphone with him so whenever he found any difficulty he simply open the site in his iphone write what he want to say in English and click on translate to French it as simple as the click of a mouse.

The full name of the Chandigarh zoo is Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park, Chhatbir zoo, but its commonly known as Chhatbir zoo. Chhatbir zoo in Chandigarh is one of the must visitl place when you are in or around Chandigarh. Chhatbir zoo is located at around 17 km from Chandigahr on Patiala highway ( Take right turne from the Zirakpur flyover and it about 15 - 20 minutres dirve from there). Zoo if famous for its lion safari and royal bengal tigers. You will also find around hundreds of different birds, mammals, reptiles and other wildlife creatures.

You can park you car in the parking slot and take the zoo safari a batery opreated vehicle that take you throughout the zoo, you are even allowed to take your car into the zoo with a moderate fee of Rs 250 but its not so exciting than roaming around the zoo by foot.

On enterting the zoo from the left you will find different species of monkey inlcuding himalayan monkeys and various other ones. Once you pass that area you will got to see Deers, Hippos and the royal Bengal tigers. Then there is a huge area for the big elephants. Passin that you can get to see the alon Austrich and then you can take the ticvkets for Lion safari which is no doubt an unforgettable experience as you face the lions from very clost distance. Then you can visit other parts of the zoo that have various birds, reptiles and mammals like Parrots, swans, crocodiles, python, deer, Zebra and many more.

Canteen facility is also there in the zoo but its advisable to carry your own food or snacks as the quality of the food in the zoo is not that good. Overall you will enjoy the trip to the zoo.

Comming Soon Baba Balak Nath Ji Yatra via Bharka Dam

In my last post I titled Maa Vaishno Devi Yarta 2010 - Jai Mata Di I wrote about one of the most visited holy place in North India. Here in this post I am glad to inform you that soon I will be posting about my pilgrimage journey to Baba Balak Nath Ji temple located in Himachal Pradesh. Reason why I am excited about posting about that journey is that we took the uncommoe ruote for the journey from Chandigarh. The normal route is via road, but we went via Bharka Dam, crossing the Ranjit Sagar Lake and then traking to the temple and Shah Talai.

This weekend I am going to Katra in Jammu & Kashmir, India to seek the blessing of Maa Vaishno Devi. I still remember the time I webt there in the past, its a great sacred feeling. Devotees climbing up hill by foot, pithoo or by horse even helicopter service is available. But I fell goin uphill to the Mata Vaishnoo Devi shrine by foot is the most exciting one, people goin up hill and downside saying "Jai Mata Di" is an unforgetable experience.

About Mata Vaishno Devi Temple: Shri Maa Vaishno Devi temples is one of the most visited temples in India. Every year around 8 million pilgrims visit the holy shrine to seek the belssing of Mata Vaishnoo Devi. Maa Vaishnoo Devi Shrine is one of the oldest shrine of India which is located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills. Well I have spent few years in Delhi, I am nor sure about Delhi abut Delhi NCR is surely not the best and the safest place to live in.

According to the latest "livability index", the host city to the Commonwealth Games has received top ratings not only in education and economic environment but also safety and security.

The 'Livability Index 2010' is a report based on a study conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Institute for Competitiveness, India. It was released on Monday by Urban Development Secretary M Ramachandran.

The report is a result of a comprehensive survey in 37 cities, ranked on criteria of demographics, education, health and medical standards, safety, housing, socio-cultural political environment, economic environment, and natural built environment and planned environment.

While Delhi has been described as the "aspirational benchmark" for other cities in the country, Mumbai comes a close second followed by Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune in the overall ratings. However, barring Noida, other NCR cities have failed to fare well, with Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad coming in 9th, 27th, and 32nd, respectively.
