Indian Number Plate Vehicles banned in Nepal

The CPN-Maoist party in Nepal has banned the entry of vehicles with Indian number plates in Nepal. This decision is highly criticized not only by Indian tourists but also from the people related to Nepal tourism industry.  Every year thousands of Indian tourists enter Nepal from Bhairahawa border via road using private or vehicles of various tour operators in India.

After the bane number of Indian tourists to Nepal has dropped to nearly half and the hotel and travel operators from Nepal predicts than this can drop further in the peak tourism season of Nepal. The peak tourism season in Nepal is from October to December.

Those readers who don’t know much about Nepal, I want to tell them that tourism is the main source of foreign exchange revenue in Nepal. Though tourism in Nepal is not highly advertised, the country is highly popular among trekkers and mountaineers. Please note that 8 of the 10 worlds highest mountain peaks are in Nepal, thus this country is a paradise for the hikers, climbers and people interested in Adventure tourism. Most popular peak is Mount Everest.

Birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha lies in Southern Nepal, thus it is a place for pilgrimage importance for many Buddhists people. The place name is Lumbini and it is a world heritage site.  Lots of Hindu devotes also visit Nepal for pilgrimage to largest temple of Lord Shiva in Kathmanu. Temple name is Pashupatinath Temple and there are mainly other Hindu temples in the region like Gosainkunda, Manakamana temple, Pathibhara to name a few.

Lets see if the CPN-Maoist soften their stand on the India Number vehicles entry in Nepal or do they let country suffer decline in number of tourists during the peak tourism season.

Sri Lanka Tourism - Travel Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is a nation full of cultural treasures, natural beauty, exotic beaches and wonderful people. During the recent past this country has remain mostly untouched from tourists. A long ending civil war was the main reason affecting the tourism industry in Sri Lanka. But slowly and slowly Sri Lanka is rising on world map as a tourist destination. Last year it was rated at the number one tourist destination by New York Times.

You can also realize the beauty of the Sri Lanka by the fact that when one of the leading bollywood super stars Salman Khan participated in an award function, held in Sri Lanka, he was so fascinated by the beauty of Sri Lankan beaches and other tourists destinations that he asked one of his producer to change the shooting location of his upcoming movie to Sri Lanka. I am not sure if the shooting of that movie has begun but definitely Sri Lanka will make its debut in bollywood soon and this will further increase the tourism in the country.

What you can enjoy as a tourists in Sri Lanka:

1. Opportunity to experience wild life

2. Sri Lanka food

3. See some of the great architectures

4. Sri Lankan beaches

5. National Museum

6. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

7. Royal Rock Temple at Dambulla

8. Tea Gardens

9. Shopping

When to visit: Sri Lanka weather is mostly tropical and the country see a very distinct 2 monsoon (rainy) seasons. Frist monsoon season called Yala monsoon is from May to August and second monsoon called the Maha monsoon season is from October to January. The Yala monsoon brings rains to the southwestern half of the country while the Maha monsoon is responsible for rain in North and East par of the island.

Normally December to March is the peak tourist season in Sri Lanka when majority of the tourists visit the West coast of the country, however one can visit the country from April to September as well to visit the south coast and hill country. For Buddhist followers July August is the best time as they can attend the 10 day long festival at temple of Sacred Tooth Relic.

However since this is a beach climate country you can enjoy the Sri Lankan beaches in the off season as well and enjoy the less crowd, cheaper air fares and hotel accommodation etc.

I’ve also posted some wallpapers and pictures of Sri Lanka, I am confident this will prompt you all to visit this place.

Australia Tourism - Travel Australia in a Chartered Jet

Most of you must have read about Tom Cruise and family visiting Australia. The private jet oned by Tom Cruise landed at Melbourne's international airport. Tom Cruise being a millionaire celebrity can travel in private jet easily and there are lot more benefits for him travelling in a private jet than the costs. For example he is safe, can travel any time he needs no time wastage at airport etc. And above all being a celebrity he can have the advantage of privacy. Tom himself is a licensed pilot and currently he owns 4 jets.

Travelling by a private jet is expensive and many people can only dream of owning a jet. But while researching online I found that one can easily travel by charter air craft at affordable cost. Take the case of Australia for example I found a websie called while offer Melbourne Air Charter services and operate throughout Australia. Company has offices in All major airports in Australia like Perth, Darwin, Melbourne, Victoria, Alice Springs etc. Business can definitely can save lots of time, increase prodictivity and employee retention by using corporate jet charters. Travel destinations for WOMEN travellers

An unusual holiday is the new equivalent of an 'It' bag - it holds the promise of being a sure-shot conversation starter. 'What will you do this summer?' takes on a whole new meaning this season.

WOMEN travellers are increasingly a target for the tourism industry. But as with anything to do with women, experts are finding that keeping up with them is a tough job.

What used to be considered chic for the Indian female traveller - spending the summer shopping at Harrods in London, or sipping on a capuccino on the Avenue des Champs Elysees in Paris - is now considered passé and is no longer catching the Indian woman's fancy.

While adventure sports are also a growing fad among women of late, there is also an increasing tribe of women who are indulging in the ultimate fashion snobbery: planning a holiday that is unusual. In the fashionista's vocabulary, it is the equivalent of the It bag - when you walk into a party, what you did/will do this summer should be a conversation starter.

So for many, summer travel now means going off the social radar, and the tour operator’s map, and designing a trip that no one else is taking. After all, who wants to hang out at a fancy nightclub in New York full of the same folk spotted at Delhi’s chic watering holes, when one can test drive a Porsche through sand dunes at an exclusive 'by invitation only' event?

According to Mohit Ahluwalia, Director of SKH Global Travels, the Indian woman is becoming more selective than ever. He says: "Having already travelled extensively before, she wants a new experience. She is more cultured and sophisticated than ever before and her choice of itinerary show that."

While one of this summer's most eagerly anticipated movies, Sex in the City 2, shows the four granddames of the New York social scene (Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda) jet off to Morocco for an exotic girly getaway, it all seems a little 'been there, done that.' Especially since they still have each other as security blankets.

Nowadays a woman wants to go on a one of a kind holiday, and she is not afraid to go on her own. While Europe and the Far East are still popular destinations, according to Gaurav Dogra, Chairman of Plan Your Holiday, travellers are not really interested in going there for sightseeing.

Rather tailor-made trips of spa holidays, adventure tours of New Zealand or Whisky tours of Scotland are the new favourites for the Indian traveller.
